This year, The 10th Indonesia International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Small Business (IICIES) organized by Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership (CIEL), School of Business and Management (SBM), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) will be held in Victoria Business School, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. The foundation of the cooperation framework, goals and other technical aspects are arranged together to produce a successful event, on target and have a positive contribution to the advancement of the world of entrepreneurship, innovation and small business development in Asia Pacific. Therefore, IICIES 2018 will bring the topic of Entrepreneurship and Trade Opportunity in Asia Pacific.
Indonesia International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (IICIES) is an annual conference held by Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership (CIEL SBM ITB). IICIES has always involved the three pillars in the process of technology commercialization and small business empowerment: academics, business, and government. Researches are focused on the areas of entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, management of technology, leadership, and managing small business and start-up.
IICIES is a place for researchers, academics and practitioners to collaborate for the development of innovation, entrepreneurship and growth of small and medium businesses through publication of their works, inspiring talks, tailor-made workshops, and scientific discussions. First launched on 2009, IICIES has gathered numerous of international experts in the respective fields and thousands of multinational participants from all across the world.
The first year of IICIES held during 2009 in Bandung with theme of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business for Better Indonesia. On the second year, IICIES successfully held the international conference which carried out theme of Developing Technopreneurship and Entrepreneurial Small Business; a Key to Sustainable Future in UMN Campus, Tangerang. In 2016, it was the first time IICIES conducted outside Indonesia. Taking the topic about Social Impact of Technological Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the New Era of ASEAN Economic Community, the 8th IICIES was held in Phillipines.
CIEL is a Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership within School of Business and Management (SBM) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). It provides public and corporate training (Corporate Training) in the areas of Leadership (Leadership Training), Entrepreneurship (Entrepreneurship Training), and Creativity and Innovation. CIEL SBM is also active in helping the company research and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in the three areas above.
CIEL SBM ITB also has been active in educational entrepreneurship and leadership, assistance for small and medium businesses, as well as providing access to capital for potential new entrepreneurs. In recent years, CIEL SBM ITB is involved in various community developments together with the relevant partners. Leadership development programs in a variety of large and medium-sized enterprises, government agencies and communities is a regular activity performed by CIEL SBM ITB either in Bandung, Jakarta, and several other big cities in Indonesia.
CIEL as a learning center that is highly relevant to two major problems in the nation is expected to contribute proactively in offering and providing solutions. Established in 2006, CIEL SBM ITB has been actively conducting research in the field of entrepreneurship and leadership; disseminate the results of research both nationally and internationally through Indonesia International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (IICIES) that have been held for the past eight years since 2009.
This year, CIEL SBM ITB in collaboration with Victoria Business School, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, will host the 10th Indonesian International Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business (IICIES 2018) in Wellington, New Zealand on December 10th - 11th, 2018 addressing the topic of Entrepreneurship and Trade Opportunity in Asia Pacific.
